Rue de la Régence: installation tower crane

Over the weekend of 18 and 19 April, the tower crane will be erected in the main courtyard of the conservatory on Rue de la Régence. As this work can only be carried out whilst tram services are suspended, it will take place from midnight on Saturday evening until 4 am on Monday morning.

The lorries transporting the crane components will be parked in the closed section of Rue de la Régence. STIB will relocate the overhead tram line to create sufficient manoeuvring space. This operation generates little noise and is completely safe. A mobile crane will be used to assemble the tower crane.

Rue de la Régence will be closed between Place Poelaert and Sablon. A diversion will be in place via Place des Palais and Boulevard de Waterloo. Local traffic may use Rue Ernest Allard, where the direction of traffic is temporarily reversed.
